# Text and background colors

## How to set text colors?

For each post style, you can create a set of colors (Color set) that will be used for the main text and the statuses of your links:

* **Link** — a regular link in the text;
* **Hover** — a link that as it gets hovered with the cursor;
* **Visite** — a link that has been visited.

## How to set background colors?

You can select several background colors for each Post Style in the Content Design System Manager (CDSM). Click add background color in the colors section of the styles bar. These background colors can be used for both general and individual grids/columns/paragraphs.

## How many text and background colors can my post style have?

You can add as many color sets as you like in the Content Design System Manager (CDSM). Click Add color set in the colors section of the styles bar. In the Post Editor, your chosen colors will appear in the top bar. Select a colored icon to change the text or background color.

These selected colors can be used for all types of text, including accents and markers.

## Which font color will be displayed by default in every new post?

Depending on the Post Style you have chosen, the default text color will appear first in the Content Design System Manager (CDSM). To change this color, click on the colored circle, select a new color or paste the HEX code.
